Past Continuous
The ,past continuous it is a verbal time that describes actions that were being realized in a moment of the past to which one refers and which then they continued,the verb of the action is formed by the past of the verb (to) be (was were) more in gerund (Infinitive -ing) .
EJEMPLO
* Yesterday she was reading a book of geography
ayer ella estaba leyendo un libro de geografia
*beguin the championship of swimming in the morning and siguio the following day
comenzó el campeonato en la mañana y siguió en la tarde .
The,past continuous is constructed by the auxiliary verb " to be " in his past form and the principal verb in infinitive by the completion ING
It observes that the negative form is constructed placing the particle NOT after the verb TO BE. The carried away form WASN'T or WEREN'T can be used also.
